Let me start with the perfect description of Greenyarn as stated on their website: "We are a nanotechnology company that develops advanced materials for consumers seeking eco-friendly alternatives to conventional fabrics." Doesn’t that just sound so smart? This is a company that truly cares about the products that they create and the people that use them (Meaning you and me, right? You’ll use them?). Greenyarn’s focus is on creating products using an environmentally friendly process and materials, but they also like things to be comfy and cozy. This all-natural product line is unique and environmentally responsible. Let’s talk about the fun stuff to buy.
Fleece BlanketYou need this in your house! Spring may be here technically, but let’s face it, we still get those chilly nights and need a cuddly fleece blanket to warm us up. The Eco-fabric is ultra soft and helps to prevent static, so no more reaching down to pull up that cozy blanket only to have an enormous spark snap you out of your chair. Not pleasant. The blanket measures 43" x 53" and are a décor- friendly charcoal gray. Eco-fabric is also washable without any loss of the natural benefits. They retail for $79.
Moist + Soft Cloth MaskWho doesn’t love an at-home facial treatment, especially as spring is finally in the air and we all have that haggard winter look (oh, it’s not just me is it???). Interestingly enough, Greenyarn has a product called Moist+ that is a facial treatment created from Eco-cotton, which has the same benefits as Eco-fabric. It emits far-infrared radiation that helps to improve circulation and help metabolism. The mask contains rose hip extract, marine collagen, Hyalurosan, Mulberry Bark Extract and Matricaria extract, to moisturize your skin and boost its radiance. Be forewarned, it is different. You pull a saturated cloth mask out of an envelope that is dark gray and would scare the crap out of anyone who happens to walk in on you once you’ve applied it. It feels great though, and leaves skin feeling soft and refreshed. At just $5, it is an incredible value for a spa-like experience.
Eco-Fabric Short Socks
So comfy, so cozy, these socks are a must. The Eco-fabric is antibacterial and antifungal which makes them ideal for working out, and they are cut low to work well with a running shoe. The fabric is also deodorizing and anti-static. They have a reinforced heel and toe and come in three color options: black and dark gray, black and light gray, or black and white to work easily with any clothing options. I never knew socks could be so well rounded! They come on several sizes and are available for about $10.
The Greenyarn line is truly special with natural benefits and the added bonus of a thoughtful and responsible company. The material, fiber (cotton or polyester) containing nano-particles of bamboo-charcoal, boasts amazing qualities you can’t find in other materials. It is an eclectic mix of products to be sure. Beyond what I mention above there are elbow and knee gaurds, wristbands, and yoga socks. There are other things in the works though so keep your eyes peeled.
