Its MIT prank time again.Massachusetts Institute of Technology - a "fake" fire truck is seen on the top of Great Dome on the campus of MIT in Cambridge, Mass., Monday, Sept. 11, 2006.
There are many things that happened to the MIT Dome over the years, there was a police cruiser few years back, the dome was made to look like R2D2.
It is a long standing tradition to put things up on the dome, and it has been a few year anything last appeared on the dome, but I guess some students kept it alive this year.
A 25-foot fire engine on the roof of the school’s 150-foot high Great Dome. The phrase "memininum,” which means “we remember” in Latin, appeared on the truck’s side.
It is a pretty awesome sight to behold. MIT police received a 15-page instruction pamphlet on how to take apart the fire truck.
It is things like this that make Boston "Fun!!"
